IT for trading companies

IT services for trading companies: ERP, e-invoicing and email you can trust with payments.

A trading company runs on its ERP, its email and its stock count. We set up the server room and upgraded the network at IMS (Industrial Material Supply FZCO) in JAFZA, added CCTV at its Ras Al Khaimah site, and rebuilt a failed server on Sangfor HCI for a UAE building-materials trader. 10,000+ projects delivered since 2004.

The problems we see

The IT problems traders bring to us.

Most of them come back to three things: the ERP server, the finance mailbox and the branch network.

ERP on one ageing server
Stock, sales and accounts on a single server out of warranty, with a backup nobody has restored.
E-invoicing deadlines
UAE e-invoicing is coming, and nobody is sure the accounting or ERP system will cope.
Invoice and payment fraud
Spoofed supplier emails asking finance to change bank details, often because SPF, DKIM and DMARC are not set.
Branches and warehouses set up differently
Different routers and VPNs at each site, so the ERP is slow at the warehouse and every fault starts from scratch.
Sales staff on the road
Laptops and phones with customer lists and price files, and no MFA on email.
Buying IT piece by piece
Laptops, licences and firewalls bought from different shops, with renewals that arrive as surprises.

Which of our services fit

What we run for a trading company.

  • Servers, storage and backups under your ERP and accounting system, with restore tests
  • An e-invoicing readiness check of your ERP and document storage
  • Email security and Microsoft 365 with MFA, so payment-change requests can be trusted
  • The same firewall, VPN and Wi-Fi set-up at head office, branches and warehouses
  • Helpdesk and onsite support under managed IT or an AMC
  • Laptops, servers, firewalls and licences supplied with renewals tracked

How it starts

From a review to steady running.

  1. 1

Review of ERP, email and sites

We check the ERP server and backups, the finance mailbox settings and the network at each branch and warehouse.

  2. 2

    Fixed quote and plan

A fixed quote with changes ranked by risk, starting with backups and email fraud controls.

  3. 3

    Staged changes

Server, network and migration work done outside trading hours where possible, with a way back at each step.

  4. 4

    Onboarding and monthly reporting

Onboarding usually takes about 30 days. After that you get support at the hours agreed in the contract and a monthly report.

Questions

What trading company owners and finance heads ask us.

Do you support our ERP?

We look after the servers, network, backups and access the ERP runs on, and we work with your ERP vendor or partner on application issues so your team does not have to referee between two suppliers.

Will our system be ready for UAE e-invoicing?

We check your accounting or ERP system and document storage against the e-invoicing timeline and list what needs upgrading. Your ERP vendor and accredited service provider handle the e-invoicing connection itself.

How do you stop fake bank-detail change emails?

We set SPF, DKIM and DMARC on your domains, turn on MFA and Microsoft 365 email protection, and flag outside senders. We also suggest a call-back rule for any payment change, because no filter catches everything.

We have branches outside the UAE. Can you cover them?

Engineers go onsite anywhere in the UAE. Sites in the US, UK, India, Uzbekistan and the wider Middle East are supported remotely, with local hands arranged for physical work.

Can you supply hardware and licences as well as support?

Yes. We supply laptops, servers, firewalls and Microsoft licences, and keep a list of warranties and renewals so they do not lapse.

What happens if we leave?

Your Microsoft tenant, domains and admin accounts stay in your name, and the network diagrams, passwords and configuration backups we keep are handed over in writing.
