End-user device and helpdesk AMC · UAE
A helpdesk and device upkeep for every member of staff.
Most IT frustration lands on individual desks: a slow laptop, a locked account, a printer that will not connect. This AMC gives your people one place to ask for help and keeps their devices patched and protected. Missan has supported UAE offices since 2004.
Who it is for
For teams that want everyday IT to stop being a distraction.
This contract suits organisations where laptops, desktops and printers are managed informally, or by one overstretched person, and where staff waste time working out who to call.
- Offices of any size where staff rely on Windows laptops, desktops and shared printers.
- Businesses with no internal IT team, or one person who also has other duties.
- Companies with a mix of device ages and no reliable list of what they own.
- Organisations that want patching, security software and user accounts handled on a routine.
- Teams that want a single ticket trail for every request, instead of messages scattered across chats.
What the AMC covers
What a device and helpdesk AMC normally covers.
- Helpdesk
- A point of contact for staff, with requests logged, assigned and followed through to closure.
- Patching and updates
- Operating system and application updates applied on a schedule to covered laptops and desktops.
- Security software
- Endpoint protection installed, kept current and checked, with problems followed up.
- Accounts and access
- New starters set up, leavers closed down and password or sign-in problems resolved.
- Printers and peripherals
- Connection, driver and fault support for printers, scanners and similar equipment on the list.
- Asset records
- A device list showing owner, model, age and warranty, kept up to date as things change.
Normally excluded
Typically outside the base contract.
- New devices, replacement parts, consumables and vendor warranty extensions.
- Major upgrades, such as moving every machine to a new operating system, which are scoped as projects.
- Software licences, and support for line-of-business applications that belong to another vendor.
- Personal devices, unless the contract names them and the bring-your-own-device rules.
The final scope is written into the contract, and we go through it with you before you sign.
How support works
One front door for every request.
Channels
Staff reach the helpdesk by phone, email or WhatsApp. Remote tools let engineers fix many issues without a visit.
Ticketing
Each request is a ticket with an owner and a history, so managers see recurring problems and nothing falls through.
Escalation
Helpdesk staff pass harder faults to a senior engineer, and to onsite attendance where needed. Response targets by priority are agreed and written into the contract.
Standard cover runs Monday to Friday 08:30–17:00 and Saturday 08:30–14:00 (Dubai time). Anything outside that is agreed in the contract.
Getting started
How a helpdesk AMC typically starts.
This is a typical process. The detail changes with the size of your estate and the number of sites.
-
Step 1
Inventory and audit
We record each device and user: model, age, operating system, warranty and who it belongs to.
-
Step 2
Baseline
We check patch levels, security software and account hygiene, and list what needs fixing at the start.
-
Step 3
Monitoring set-up
Management and monitoring tools are installed on covered devices, and staff are told how to raise a request.
-
Step 4
Reporting cadence
We agree the regular ticket and device report, who receives it and when we review it together.
How pricing is structured
Priced around people and devices.
A figure published without knowing your headcount and device mix would mislead you, so we quote after a survey and show the working. The usual structures are below.
For the factors that move an AMC price, read what an IT AMC costs in the UAE.
Per device
Each covered laptop, desktop or printer carries a line in the contract. Works well when devices outnumber staff or are shared.
Per user
A fee per member of staff covering their devices and helpdesk access. Simple when each person has a similar set-up.
Tiered
Levels of cover, from remote helpdesk only to helpdesk plus scheduled onsite visits, so you pay for the depth you need.

Questions
What buyers ask before they sign.
What does an end-user device and helpdesk AMC cover?
A helpdesk for your staff, plus upkeep of the laptops, desktops, printers and phones listed in the contract: patching, security software, user accounts and fault handling. The device list and the tasks for each type are agreed after a survey.
Do you support Mac as well as Windows?
We list the operating systems in the contract. Windows devices are the usual core, and other platforms can be included where we have agreed to support them, so please tell us what you run.
How do staff contact the helpdesk?
By phone, email or WhatsApp, as agreed in the contract. Each request becomes a ticket, so staff and managers can see its progress.
Are new laptops and repairs included?
New devices and replacement parts are normally quoted separately, and repair or warranty handling can be written in as defined tasks. We can supply hardware and manage its set-up if you want a single point of contact.
Is this the same as managed IT services?
It overlaps. Managed IT usually covers the wider estate including Microsoft 365 and security on a per-user basis. This AMC is scoped around devices and helpdesk, and the two can sit together under one agreement.
