CCTV and access control AMC · UAE
CCTV and access control maintenance, kept on a schedule.
A camera that stopped recording last month is found out on the day you need the footage. An AMC puts checks, updates and repairs on a calendar, and treats cameras and door readers as the network devices they are. Missan has supported UAE sites since 2004.
Who it is for
For sites where security systems must simply work.
This contract suits organisations with cameras, door readers or attendance terminals that were installed once and then left alone, or that are looked after by whoever happens to be available.
- Offices, warehouses and showrooms with an IP camera system and a recorder.
- Sites with card, PIN or biometric door access and a log that matters.
- Businesses using attendance terminals that feed payroll or HR records.
- Companies with systems from more than one installer and no single point of responsibility.
- Property and facilities teams who need regular checks recorded for landlords or auditors.
What the AMC covers
What a CCTV and access control AMC normally covers.
- Scheduled site checks
- Planned visits to inspect cameras, recorders, readers and controllers, including lens, view and mounting.
- Recording verification
- Confirmation that the recorder is writing footage from each camera and that storage is behaving as designed.
- Firmware and settings
- Updates for cameras, recorders and readers in an agreed window, and review of passwords and network settings.
- Fault repair
- Diagnosis and onsite repair of cameras, cabling, readers and controllers, with vendor warranty claims where applicable.
- User administration
- Cards, PINs and fingerprints added or removed as staff join and leave, on request from an authorised contact.
- Records
- An equipment list, a check log and a periodic report, which is useful when a landlord or auditor asks.
Normally excluded
Typically outside the base contract.
- Replacement cameras, recorders, readers and hard drives, and extended vendor warranties.
- New installations, extra cameras or doors and recorder upgrades, which are scoped as projects.
- Cabling changes and civil work, such as new routes or re-fixing after building works.
- Damage from vandalism, accidents or power events, unless the contract states otherwise.
The final scope is written into the contract, and we go through it with you before you sign.
How support works
Report a fault, track it, close it.
Channels
Report a fault by phone, email or WhatsApp. Where recorders can send alerts, those can reach our helpdesk directly.
Ticketing
Every fault and user change is logged as a ticket, giving you a dated record of what was reported and done.
Escalation
Helpdesk staff pass faults that need a site visit to an engineer. Response targets by priority are agreed and written into the contract.
Standard cover runs Monday to Friday 08:30–17:00 and Saturday 08:30–14:00 (Dubai time). Anything outside that is agreed in the contract.
Getting started
How a CCTV AMC typically starts.
This is a typical process. The detail changes with the size of your estate and the number of sites.
-
Step 1
Inventory and audit
We walk the site and list every camera, recorder, reader and controller, with location, model and condition.
-
Step 2
Baseline
We check recording, camera views, storage and credentials, and note what needs fixing before cover begins.
-
Step 3
Monitoring set-up
Where the equipment allows, we connect recorder and device health to alerting and test it.
-
Step 4
Reporting cadence
We agree the visit schedule and when you receive the check report, then keep to that rhythm.
How pricing is structured
Priced from the site survey.
Camera counts, door counts and site layouts vary too widely for a published figure. After the survey you receive a written price with its working. The usual structures are below.
For the factors that move an AMC price, read what an IT AMC costs in the UAE.
Per device
Cameras, readers and recorders are counted and priced individually. Clear for smaller, fixed systems.
Per site
One fee per location covering everything installed there, with a visit schedule written in.
Tiered
Levels of cover, from remote checks and firmware to scheduled onsite visits with repair attendance.

Questions
What buyers ask before they sign.
What does a CCTV and access control AMC cover?
Scheduled checks of cameras, recorders, readers and controllers, firmware updates, fault handling and user changes for the systems listed in the contract. The equipment list and the tasks for each item are agreed after a survey.
Can you maintain a system someone else installed?
Usually yes. We survey it first, check that the recorders and cameras still receive firmware updates, and tell you honestly what we can and cannot support. Where a system is too old to maintain sensibly, we say so and quote options.
Is footage retrieval included?
Help exporting footage for an incident review can be written into the contract. How long footage is kept depends on the recorder storage and the retention period you need, which we agree during the survey.
Are replacement cameras and readers included?
Not as a rule. Replacement devices and warranty extensions are normally quoted separately, and we handle warranty claims with the vendor on your behalf where the contract includes it.
Do you secure the camera network?
Cameras and readers are network devices, so the AMC includes checking firmware, default credentials and network separation as part of routine visits, working alongside your wider IT support.
