UAE e-invoicing · 2026–2027
If your revenue is AED 50 million or more, you are expected to have an Accredited Service Provider appointed by 30 October 2026 and to be issuing PINT AE invoices from 1 January 2027. Missan has run UAE accounting, ERP and document systems since 2004. We are not an ASP — we are the people who connect your finance system to the one you choose, and make sure what comes out of it is valid XML.
UAE e-invoicing replaces the PDF invoice with structured XML in the PINT AE format, exchanged over the Peppol network through an Accredited Service Provider. The programme is run by the Ministry of Finance, which accredits those providers. It is a decentralised 5-corner model — your provider exchanges invoices directly with your customer’s, so there is no central portal to upload to. As currently announced, it rolls out in phases across 2026 and 2027 — voluntary first, then mandatory by revenue tier.

How Missan gets you ready
Since 2004, Missan Global has run the accounting, ERP, document and infrastructure systems UAE businesses depend on. E-invoicing readiness draws on all of it.
We review how you invoice today — systems, formats, volumes and data quality — and map the gap between where you are and what the mandate requires.
We connect your accounting or ERP platform to an Accredited Service Provider so invoices are issued and exchanged in the required structured format.
With windream, invoices and supporting documents are captured, workflowed and retained in line with your record-keeping obligations.
The new data flows need dependable connectivity, identity and backup. We make sure the infrastructure behind e-invoicing is secure and resilient.
We plan and support the switch to live e-invoicing, then stay on hand as your team settles into the new process.

For decision makers
For the first mandatory tier, the appointment of an Accredited Service Provider is expected well before go-live. Handled now, e-invoicing is a controlled project. Missan makes it exactly that — not a scramble against the deadline.
Businesses at AED 50 million or more are expected to appoint an ASP by late 2026 and go live from January 2027.
Handled early, e-invoicing is a planned change. Left late, it becomes a rushed, higher-risk cut-over near the deadline.
A readiness assessment tells leadership exactly what needs to change in systems, data and process — before the clock runs down.
Assessment, ASP integration, document retention and infrastructure handled together, with clear ownership end to end.

UAE e-invoicing — questions
UAE e-invoicing requires businesses to issue and exchange invoices as structured XML in the PINT AE format, sent over the Peppol network through an Accredited Service Provider, rather than as PDFs or paper. The programme is run by the Ministry of Finance, which accredits the service providers; invoice data ultimately reaches the Federal Tax Authority. As currently announced, it is being introduced in phases across 2026 and 2027.
As announced, voluntary adoption is expected from 1 July 2026, with e-invoicing mandatory for businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more from 1 January 2027, and for businesses under AED 50 million from 1 July 2027. Confirm the dates that apply to you with your tax adviser and the UAE Federal Tax Authority.
An ASP is a provider accredited by the UAE Ministry of Finance to transmit e-invoices over the Peppol network on your behalf — the Access Point between your finance system and everyone else. You must appoint one; there is no way to send a compliant invoice without it. More than thirty are accredited, and the official list is published on mof.gov.ae — verify any provider against it before signing. Missan is not an ASP. What we do is connect your accounting or ERP system to the one you choose, which is the part that usually goes wrong.
Almost certainly, and you very probably do not need to replace it. Systems fall into three groups: those that produce PINT AE XML natively, those with a vendor or ASP connector available, and older or heavily customised systems that need a middleware layer to translate what they output. We have set out where the common UAE platforms sit — TallyPrime, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Odoo, Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP and Sage — on our e-invoicing ERP readiness page. Be wary of anyone whose first answer is that you need new software.
No, and the difference matters. Saudi Arabia and Egypt use a central clearance model, where invoices are submitted to a government platform for approval. The UAE has adopted a decentralised 5-corner Peppol model — your ASP exchanges the invoice directly with your customer’s ASP, and the tax data is reported separately. If a provider describes uploading your invoices to a central UAE portal, they are describing the wrong country.
Start with a readiness assessment. Missan reviews how you invoice today, maps the gap to what the mandate requires, and plans the integration, document retention and infrastructure work as a project — so you are ready ahead of your deadline rather than rushing at it.
