What is a Global Capability Centre?
A Global Capability Centre is a team in another country that works only for your company. It is your team, doing your work, under your direction. The difference from outsourcing is control: you choose the people, set the priorities and own the knowledge. Some people shorten it to GCC; on this site GCC usually means the Gulf Cooperation Council, so we spell it out.
Who is this for?
Mid-sized and large companies, roughly USD 50 million to 1 billion in revenue, in the Gulf, the UK, Europe and the US, that need more IT and engineering capacity than they can hire locally at a sensible cost, and want a dedicated team rather than a shared outsourcing contract.
How many people do we need to start?
Five is a sensible minimum. Most centres start with a core of 5 or more people and grow once the first roles are settled. Smaller than five usually works better as a managed service.
How long does it take to set up?
Typically 8 to 16 weeks from signed scope to a working team. Senior or niche roles take longer to hire; service desk and NOC roles are faster.
Who employs the staff?
Our Indian or Uzbek company employs them, handles payroll, benefits and local labour law, and provides the workspace and equipment. The team works only on your work and takes direction from you.
How is it priced?
Per person per month, all-in: salary, employer costs, workspace, equipment, IT, security and management. We give a fixed quote after a scoping call, once we know the roles, seniority and shift pattern.
Can we take the team over later?
Yes, if you want to. When you set up your own entity, the staff, assets and processes move to you for a fee agreed upfront in the contract. Transfer is optional; you can stay on Build–Operate as long as it suits you.
How do you protect our data and systems?
Your team works on managed devices, with access through your identity system and your security policies. We set up access controls, logging and offboarding as part of the build, and we agree any certifications or audits you need before we start.
Why India or Uzbekistan and not somewhere else?
Those are the two countries outside the UAE where we have our own companies and teams. India gives you a very large talent pool. Tashkent gives you a smaller, growing pool with the closest time zone to the Gulf and Europe.
