Microsoft 365 licence checker and optimiser

The short answer: most licence waste is seats for people who left, E5 where nobody uses E5 features, and Copilot seats nobody opens. Enter what you hold and what you need, and the tool suggests a better-fit mix using Microsoft's published plan differences.

      Common questions

      About Microsoft 365 licensing.

How do I know if we are paying for Microsoft 365 licences we do not need?

Compare the licences you hold with the people and features you actually use. The usual waste is licences assigned to leavers, E5 seats for staff who never use its phone, analytics or compliance features, and Copilot seats bought before anyone uses them. Enter your counts above and the tool flags each one.

What is the difference between Business Premium and E3?

Both include desktop apps, Intune and Entra ID P1. Business Premium is limited to 300 users across the Business plans and adds Defender for Business and Defender for Office 365 Plan 1. E3 has no user cap and includes Exchange Online Plan 2. Microsoft Learn lists the full differences.

      Does this tool show prices?

No. Microsoft does not publish a UAE price list we can cite, and prices depend on term, billing and your Cloud Solution Provider. The tool compares features only. As a Microsoft partner we can give you exact figures for the suggested mix.

Do we need E5 for Teams Phone?

No. E5 includes Phone System, but other plans can add Teams Phone as an add-on. If only a few users need phone features, add-ons on a lower plan can be the better fit. A Calling Plan or Operator Connect is still needed for PSTN calls.

      Is my data sent anywhere?

No. The tool runs in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you fill in the optional form and press send.
