The challenge
A private hospital in Sharjah.
A private hospital in Sharjah ran its staff email on a hosted IMAP service, outside any Microsoft 365 tenant.
It wanted every mailbox moved to Microsoft 365 without losing mail, folders or data, and it wanted its own administrative team able to run the new environment afterwards.
What we delivered
Missan planned and ran the migration, then trained the hospital's administrators before handover:
- Migrated 29 user mailboxes from the hosted IMAP service to Microsoft 365
- Configured the Microsoft 365 environment, including mailbox setup and synchronisation
- Moved all emails, folders and the necessary data, then verified each account after migration
- Set up a group mailbox for all staff
- Ran an administrator training session covering account management, user provisioning and basic troubleshooting in Microsoft 365
The outcome
All 29 mailboxes were handed over working in Microsoft 365, with post-migration issues found in testing resolved before sign-off.
The training ran the day before handover, and the hospital signed the completion report in January 2025.
The business case
Hospital email now sits inside a Microsoft 365 tenant that the hospital controls, with the identity, security and compliance tools that come with it, and an in-house team trained to add and manage users without waiting on a vendor.
