Healthcare cybersecurity · Dubai & UAE

Cybersecurity for clinics and hospitals in Dubai and the UAE.

A clinic cannot stop seeing patients while a ransomware attack is cleaned up. Yet most clinics we assess run medical devices, reception PCs and guest Wi-Fi on one network, with shared logins and backups on the same server they protect. We secure the whole estate, keep it patched and monitored, and give you the evidence your regulator asks for. 22+ years in UAE IT, with teams in 3 countries.

What we do

The security controls a clinic actually needs.

Sangfor Gold Partner and Microsoft partner. We also support Fortinet and other major vendors already in your estate.

22+ years · 5,000+ clients served since 2004 · 10,000+ projects delivered since 2004

Network separation
Medical devices, staff PCs, phones, guest Wi-Fi and management on separate networks, with rules between them.
Firewalls and remote access
Next-generation firewalls, VPN for doctors and admin staff, and branch links kept current.
Endpoint protection
Every PC and server protected and patched, with infected devices isolated quickly.
Email and Microsoft 365 security
Phishing filtering, MFA and conditional access, so one stolen password does not open patient records.
Protected backup
Backups kept away from the network they protect, so ransomware cannot reach them, and restores tested.
Reporting and evidence
A monthly report on incidents, patching and risky sign-ins that you can show auditors and insurers.

Work we have delivered

Healthcare network and security work in the UAE.

For a UAE hospital group’s two remote clinics in Abu Dhabi, our team installed FortiSwitches and a FortiAP, paired the existing firewalls for high availability and re-architected a FortiGate 71F so every LAN VLAN (data, voice, corporate Wi-Fi, guest Wi-Fi, AP management, device management and MPLS) runs over FortiLink. Both sites were verified complete, the second in two days.

Common gaps

What we find most often in clinic security assessments.

  • One flat network shared by medical devices, reception PCs and guest Wi-Fi.
  • Shared logins at reception and on clinical workstations.
  • No MFA on email, so one phishing message exposes the mailbox.
  • Backups on the same server or network they are meant to protect.
  • A firewall installed years ago and never updated.

Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the UAE

Where we cover.

We support single clinics and multi-branch groups in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and every emirate from our UAE head office in Sharjah. Most monitoring and security work is remote; engineers come onsite for network changes, firewall swaps and incident containment. The wider security service is described on managed security services and managed cybersecurity and MDR.

How a project runs

Assessment, a fixed plan, then changes staged around clinic hours.

Security work at a clinic is scheduled around appointments. Changes are staged, with a way back for every step.

  1. Step 1

    Security assessment

We record what is installed, who has access and where patient data lives, and list the gaps by risk.

  2. Step 2

    Fixed plan and quote

A written plan, equipment list and one price, with the urgent fixes first.

  3. Step 3

    Staged changes

Network, endpoint and Microsoft 365 changes done out of clinic hours where needed, one site at a time.

  4. Step 4

    Monitor and report

Ongoing monitoring, patching and a monthly report under a managed security contract.

After go-live

What the monthly service includes.

  • 24/7 automated monitoring and alerting, with engineer response in UAE business hours and agreed out-of-hours cover for named critical systems.
  • Patching of PCs, servers, firewalls and switches, tracked to completion.
  • Joiners and leavers handled the same day, including locum and visiting doctors.
  • A monthly security report and a quarterly review with management.
  • Restore tests of backups, with the result written down.

Support runs Monday to Friday 08:30–17:00 and Saturday 08:30–14:00 (Dubai time), with out-of-hours cover agreed in the contract where you need it. We reply within one business day to anything that is not urgent. See IT AMC contracts and managed IT services.

Questions

What buyers ask before they sign.

Do you provide cybersecurity services for clinics and hospitals in Dubai?

Yes. We secure clinics, medical centres and hospital groups in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and across the UAE: firewalls and network separation, endpoint protection, Microsoft 365 and email security, MFA, backup that ransomware cannot reach, and monthly reporting. Engineers come onsite from our UAE head office in Sharjah for installations and incidents.

Why is healthcare a target for cyber attacks?

Patient records are valuable, downtime stops appointments and treatment, and many clinics run a mix of medical devices, old PCs and shared logins. Attackers know a clinic under pressure is more likely to pay, so the basics (MFA, patching, separate networks and tested backups) matter more than in most sectors.

Can you separate medical devices from the office network?

Yes. We put medical devices, staff PCs, IP phones, guest Wi-Fi and management on separate networks (VLANs), with firewall rules between them. In a UAE hospital group’s two remote clinics we built data, voice, corporate Wi-Fi, guest Wi-Fi and management VLANs to the group’s own design.

Does this help with ADHICS, DHA and UAE health-data rules?

It gives you the evidence those reviews ask for: who has access, which devices are patched, how backups are protected and what happened when an alert was raised. Providers in Abu Dhabi answer to ADHICS, Dubai providers to Dubai Health Authority policies, and health data is also covered by Federal Law No. 2 of 2019. We map the controls we run to your requirements during onboarding; we do not certify compliance ourselves.

Is the clinic monitored 24/7?

Monitoring and alerting are automated and run 24/7. Engineers respond in UAE business hours, with agreed out-of-hours cover for systems you name as critical, such as the network at a clinic that opens late or at weekends. We do not run a staffed 24/7 helpdesk, and we write the escalation path into the contract.

We have an in-house IT person. Can you work alongside them?

Yes. Many hospital groups keep an IT lead and use us for security and network work. A written responsibility matrix sets out who does what, and in the clinic case study we worked to the client IT lead’s design at every step.

How is healthcare cybersecurity priced?

Per user, device or site, after a security assessment. You get a fixed monthly fee and a written list of what is in and out of scope.
