The challenge
A private organisation's two-floor facility in the UAE.
The client had a facility over a ground floor and a mezzanine with existing data and camera cabling that nobody had documented.
It needed one secure, manageable network covering cabling, CCTV, Wi-Fi, the firewall and door access, without ripping out what already worked.
How we planned it
Missan walked the site with the floor plan to mark cable paths and device positions, and planned access equipment for the high ceilings before work began.
What we delivered
Missan traced and tested every existing data and camera cable, then installed and configured:
- 1 rack with 3 patch panels, 3 brush panels and 2 PDUs, Cat6A cabling and 28 new face plates and keystones
- 16 CCTV cameras installed, aligned and tested on an NVR, with recording verified
- A FortiGate 60F internal firewall with best-practice policies and its licence installed (the internet provider's own firewall left in place)
- 10 Aruba access points (five per floor) and 3 Aruba switches, all under Aruba Instant On cloud management
- 3 Wi-Fi networks, including a separate guest network
- Door access control on three entrances and an intercom at reception
The outcome
Connectivity, Wi-Fi coverage, firewall rules, camera recording and door access were all tested before handover. The completion report was signed in May 2025.
The business case
Undocumented cabling became a labelled, cloud-managed network with cameras, guest Wi-Fi and door control that the client can see and manage from one place.
