Software company · Sharjah

A software company in Sharjah that also runs the systems your software depends on.

Most software houses hand over a build and leave hosting, backup, sign-in and support to someone else. Missan has been in Al Majaz, Sharjah since 2004, and we build business software and keep it running: applications, integrations, data migration and document workflows, on infrastructure we already monitor and back up. 22+ years in UAE IT, with teams in 3 countries.

What we do

Software, and everything it runs on.

Development by Missan’s own teams in the UAE and India, with delivery and support on the UAE working week.

22+ years · 5,000+ clients served since 2004 · 10,000+ projects delivered since 2004

Business applications
Web and mobile apps for operations that no off-the-shelf product fits, supported by the team that built them.
Systems integration
ERP, accounting, CRM and document systems joined up so staff stop re-keying the same data.
Legacy data migration
History extracted from a system you have outgrown, checked against the source and handed back in a format you can read.
Document workflows on windream
Approvals, retention and searchable archives, delivered as windream Exclusive Middle East Partner.
Portals and reporting
Customer, tenant and supplier portals, and Power BI reporting from the data you already hold.
Hosting and product care
Monitored, backed-up hosting, releases, fixes and environments, so the version running in two years still works.

Software company or IT company

Why Sharjah buyers ask for both in one firm.

A new application touches everything around it: the network it runs on, the server or cloud it is hosted on, Microsoft 365 sign-in, backups and the people who phone when it stops. When the software house and the IT company are different firms, a fault becomes a debate about whose problem it is.

Missan does both. Our IT support in Sharjah team already runs the infrastructure, so a new system goes live on hosting that is monitored and backed up. The UAE-wide detail of our development work is on custom software development.

Work we have delivered

Software work, described by sector.

Clients are described by sector because they have not yet agreed to be named for software work.

  • An industrial refrigeration group in the UAE and Saudi Arabia: a custom operations application, now in its third phase, plus the infrastructure it runs on.
  • A facilities maintenance group in the UAE: a maintenance platform built from scratch, with an ERP connection so the two systems stop being kept in step by hand.
  • A government-linked industrial authority: document digitisation and windream approval workflows replacing paper files and email approvals. See compliance as a service on windream.
  • Missan’s own platforms for food and beverage and facilities businesses, which we build and run every day.

Choosing a software company

Five questions to ask any software company in Sharjah.

  • Who hosts it, who backs it up and who do staff call when it stops?
  • Is the first release fixed-price, and what exactly does it include?
  • Who owns the code, the data and the admin accounts?
  • Can it connect to the ERP, accounting and document systems we already use?
  • Will the same team still support it in two years?

How a project runs

Discovery, a fixed first release, then a staged rollout.

Software projects fail when the scope is vague. We write it down first, price a first release you can use, and keep the old process running until the new one is proven.

  1. Step 1

    Discovery

Short workshops with the people who will use the system. We map the process, the data and the systems it must talk to.

  2. Step 2

    Fixed first release

A written scope, screens, integrations and one price for a release that does a real job, not a demo.

  3. Step 3

    Build and test

Built in stages you can see and test, with your data, before anyone relies on it.

  4. Step 4

    Go-live and support

Staged rollout, training and handover, then hosting and support on a monthly contract if you want it.

After go-live

What support covers after go-live.

  • Fixes, small changes and releases under a monthly support agreement, with the scope written down.
  • 24/7 automated monitoring and alerting of the hosting, with engineer response in UAE business hours and agreed out-of-hours cover.
  • Backups of the application and its data, with restores tested.
  • Sign-in through Microsoft Entra ID where you use Microsoft 365, so leavers lose access the same day.
  • A roadmap review when the business changes, so the software keeps up.

Support runs Monday to Friday 08:30–17:00 and Saturday 08:30–14:00 (Dubai time), with out-of-hours cover agreed in the contract where you need it. We reply within one business day to anything that is not urgent. See IT AMC contracts and managed IT services.

Questions

What buyers ask before they sign.

Is Missan a software company in Sharjah?

Yes. Missan has been headquartered in Al Majaz, Sharjah since 2004. Alongside IT support and infrastructure we design, build and support business software: web and mobile applications, integrations between systems, data migration and windream document workflows. We also build and run our own platforms for food and beverage and facilities businesses.

What kind of software do you build?

Business applications that no off-the-shelf product fits: operations and field apps, customer and tenant portals, approval workflows, integrations between ERP, accounting and document systems, and reporting. We do not build games or consumer apps for app-store distribution.

Can you work with our existing ERP or accounting system?

Usually, yes. Most projects connect to something already in place, such as SAP Business One, SQL Server databases, Microsoft 365 or a legacy system whose vendor no longer helps. We start by checking what the system can expose, then quote the integration in writing.

Who hosts and supports the software after go-live?

We can. Because we already run infrastructure, backup and identity for clients, the application can go live on monitored, backed-up hosting with sign-in in your company’s name. Support follows UAE business hours, with agreed out-of-hours cover for systems you name as critical.

Who owns the code and the data?

You own your data, and the ownership and licence terms for the code are written into the contract before work starts. Admin access to hosting and accounts is set up in your company’s name, not ours.

How is a software project priced?

After a short discovery stage we give a fixed price for a defined first release, plus a monthly fee for hosting and support if you want us to run it. Changes outside the agreed scope are quoted in writing first.

Do you only work with Sharjah companies?

No. Sharjah is our head office, and we deliver software for clients across the UAE and the GCC, with development teams in 3 countries.
