Server rooms · racks · UPS
Server room, rack and UPS installation for UAE offices and sites.
A server room fails on the boring things: a tired UPS battery, a hot cupboard, cables nobody can trace. We survey the room, fix the power and the rack, and set servers to shut down cleanly in a long outage. For IMS we built the server room at its JAFZA head office.
What we do
Power, racks, cooling and cables you can trace.
We supply, install and support UPS units from vendors including APC.
22+ years · 5,000+ clients served since 2004 · 10,000+ projects delivered since 2004
- UPS sizing and supply
- Load measured from the real equipment, with runtime agreed and spare capacity for growth.
- Automatic shutdown
- Servers and storage shut down in order before the batteries run out, with an alert to our helpdesk.
- Racks and cabinets
- Floor-standing racks or wall cabinets, with power distribution, shelves and blanking panels.
- Cable management
- Patching redone and labelled at both ends, so a fault can be traced without unplugging things.
- Cooling and environment
- Temperature and airflow checked, with a sensor that alerts before the room overheats.
- Access
- A lock and a record of who can get in, which auditors and insurers often ask for.
How a project runs
Survey, fixed quote, then a staged rollout with a way back.
Power work is done after hours, one circuit at a time, with equipment kept running on temporary power where needed.
-
Step 1
Site survey
An engineer visits, records what is installed today and what the business needs from it, before anything is priced.
-
Step 2
Fixed quote
You get an equipment list, the labour, a schedule and one written price. Anything that changes on site is quoted in writing first.
-
Step 3
Staged rollout
One site, floor or group at a time. The old setup stays in place, with a tested way back, until the new one is proven.
-
Step 4
Handover and support
Documentation, admin access in your company’s name and a walkthrough. Then support under an AMC or managed IT if you want it.
After go-live
What server room support covers.
- UPS and battery health monitored, with alerts on mains failure or battery faults.
- Battery tests on a schedule and replacements quoted before they fail.
- Room temperature alerts routed to our helpdesk.
- Rack changes and new equipment installed as support requests.
- Onsite visits anywhere in the UAE from our UAE head office.
Support runs Monday to Friday 08:30–17:00 and Saturday 08:30–14:00 (Dubai time), with out-of-hours cover agreed in the contract where you need it. We reply within one business day to anything that is not urgent. See IT AMC contracts and managed IT services.
Questions
What buyers ask before they sign.
Which UPS brands do you supply?
We supply, install and support UPS units from vendors including APC, sized from the actual load of the equipment they protect, with battery runtime agreed with you.
How long should the UPS keep things running?
Long enough to ride through short power cuts and shut servers down cleanly in a long one. For most offices that is 10 to 30 minutes. If you have a generator, the UPS only needs to cover the switchover.
Can servers shut down automatically when the power goes?
Yes. The UPS is connected to the servers and storage so they shut down in the right order before the batteries run out, and alert our helpdesk when it happens.
Our comms room is a cupboard. Is that a problem?
Often it is fine if it has cooling, a lock and tidy cabling. We check temperature, airflow, power and access, and recommend the smallest change that fixes the risk.
When do UPS batteries need replacing?
Typically every three to five years, sooner in a hot room. We record install dates, run battery tests and quote replacements before they fail.
How is a server room project priced?
A fixed quote after the site survey, covering racks, UPS, power distribution, cooling recommendations, cabling tidy-up and labour.
Tell us about the room
What is in the rack, how old the UPS is and whether the building has a generator. We reply within one business day.
Planning a project? Get it scoped first.
Send us the brief, the deadline and what you have today. An engineer reviews it and we reply within one business day with next steps.
